In January 2026, the Mr. Shrink team successfully completed a major scaffold protection project for a 50 m × 40 m structure in just five days. Despite constantly overcast weather and temperatures ranging from 2 °C to 7 °C, our goal was clear – to fully enclose the structure so that facade works could continue without interruption, even during the coldest part of winter.
Precision at low temperatures
Working at low temperatures presents a particular challenge, as the film becomes less flexible and requires a high level of precision during installation. Our team of experienced installers used specially prepared LDPE film and a carefully controlled heating technique to achieve a strong, stable and safe enclosure around the scaffold.
Winter challenges
Winter conditions on construction sites often bring wind, moisture, ice and delays. Without adequate protection, such conditions not only slow down work progress, but also increase safety risks and overall costs.
Our solution
By using industrial shrink wrap film, we created a thermally stable and controlled environment inside the scaffold. This type of protection effectively blocks wind and moisture, maintains a consistent temperature and enables humidity control, which is crucial for the quality and continuity of facade works.
Results
By working with Mr. Shrink, the client achieved:
- Stable conditions inside the working area, with the possibility of heating and humidity control to achieve ideal working conditions in line with building material specifications.
- Reliable protection against adverse weather conditions.
- No downtime, which made it possible to maintain the planned work schedule.
- Improved working conditions and increased efficiency on site.
This project once again demonstrates that professional scaffold encapsulation enables uninterrupted progress of works throughout the year. With the right materials and an expert team, even the lowest temperatures are no obstacle to project advancement.
